Nichols Christmas ornament is in the permanent collection of the New Hampshire Historical Society. Laury was part of the design team, and contributed carvings, for the innovative "Enchanted Forest" installation, now a permanent part of the rotunda of intensive care wing of the University of Maryland teaching hospital, Baltimore, MD.

After more than 35 years as a wood carver, this self-taught artist still loves the Wood Carving Process.

Sly Mr. Fox is made of laminated 2 inch planks of furniture grade, kiln dried basswood. He stands on a natural apple wood base. His head turns, his top hat opens to reveal a secret hiding place. His chest pocket is actually a front for a secret dovetailed drawer.  A removable working walnut pocket watch tucks in his right pocket
